The Brown School is proud to host a chapter of the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health, the national honors society in the field of public health.
Founded in 1924, Delta Omega encourages and recognizes excellence in the field of public health at more than 80 universities around the world. The Brown School’s chapter of Delta Omega, Gamma Sigma, was established in 2013.
Only CEPH-accredited schools and programs of public health are eligible to establish a chapter of Delta Omega, and each chapter can induct no more than 10 percent of its graduating students each year.
The induction process is highly intensive. Inductees are recognized for their academic excellence, potential for leadership in the field, and commitment to the values of public health.
Students who are inducted into Delta Omega gain access to career-enhancing opportunities, including mentorship and networking with other outstanding players in the field of public health.
